As part of my job selling insurance, I find myself in a lot of suburban neighborhoods. In each community, I often find homes that look very much alike. Houses in the suburbs look the same because it is easier for a company to construct houses using only one master plan. Yesterday, I went to one home that looked identical to its neighbor’s, but no one was in. The next one I visited was also rather unimaginative. As I drove to the last house on the street, I was surprised to see how the flowers on the windowsills made it unique. It is amazing how plants can make standardized homes stand out.
