I saw in the newspaper some vegan activists made their flash mob demonstration carrying a sign with "Violence not food" in different barbecue restaurants. At first glance, they came across as selfish and unrealistic. Indeed, they make us feel guilty and seem to force us to become vegan. Besides, it sounds impossible to go without meat. I'm not a meat lover but I think vegan life  would hardly be imaginable to me. But on second thought, this sort of people are needed in our society even though they are of minority. It is said that animals grown for food such as cows, pigs, chickens etc. considerably pollute earth, air, water to say nothing of humanity. This kind of activists might be a reminder of the values we missed in our lifestyle and outlook.
