1.가짜주어(to 부정사)
it은 to 부정사구나 that절 같은 긴 주어를 대신해서 쓰인다.
It ~ [for + 목적어] to구문 : to 구문이 진주어 부분, it이 가주어 부분

2. 가짜주어(that / there)
that 쓰임 -
It is (necessary, essential, imperative, important, critical, essential, vital) that ~
(중요) It is uncertain that/whether ~ (불확실한)
(중요) It remains to be seen that/whether ~ (~인지 아닌지 지켜 봐야 한다)
there 형식 -
* There is / was / has been / remains / exists + 단수 주어
* There are / were / have been / remain / exist + 복수 주어
3. 동사 도치 (Enclosed, Attached, Included, Listed)
단어들은 주어 자리에 있지만 주어가 아니다!!!
Enclosed(동봉된)
Attached(첨부된) + 동사 + 주어
Included(포함된)
List(열거된)
예문 -
Attached is a comprehensive study of our city.
4. 핵심단어 extend
뜻 - 연장하다, 늘이다
extend the deadline (=prolong)
extend the thanks / gratitude 고마움을 표현하다(=express)
extend the invitation(초대를 하다) , extend the hospitality(호의를 베풀다)
extend the discount(할인을 제공하다) , extend the resignation(사의를 표명하다)
5. 핵심단어 reserve
뜻 - 예약하다, (권리,이익을) 보유하다
reserve the table = book
reserve the right = hold
reservation 1)예약, 2)주저함,망설임
6. 핵심단어 deliberate
뜻 - 심사숙고하다, 심의하다
deliberate attempt 의도적인 시도
deliberate approach 신중한 접근
7. 핵심단어 address
뜻 - 다루다, 제기하다
address the problem(문제를 다루다) = deal with = handle = attend to the matter
deliver an address = give a speech/remark 연설을 하다
8. 핵심단어 retain
뜻 - (계속)유지하다, 보관하다
retain the receipt = keep 영수증을 간직하다
retain the staff 직원들이 오래 보유하다
9. 핵심단어 waive
뜻 - 적용하지 않다, 포기하다
Waive the service charge = exempt
(paraphrasing) => free = complimentary = no charge (공짜의)
