Besides all kinds of things, I want to tell about English, especially for my daughter, Alice.
I don't need to say here about the passion and enthusiasm of Korean parents to let their kids learn English.
Many Korean parents want their kids to learn and speak English fluently and also become a globla person
to perform a key role in anywhere in the world. So, they're managing lots of money and time to kids, far more
than we expect. In fact, I did it then, too.
I asked Alice to follow their friends with the purpose of other parents'. But, she refused to do that.
On the contrary, she told me she didn't know why she had to learn and study English too hard in Korea.
It has passed only one year since my family moved to US. She is 2nd grade now. Although she is not fluent, she speaks English a little.
At least, it seems to me that she feels comfortable expressing her needs in English. Naturally, living here,
she is used to speaking the global language, little by little.. She doesn't ask me any
more why she should learn English. I'm happy to see her but I'm not sure that's because whether her
character is simple and optimistic or she already finds the answer.
