제가 대충 해석해봤는데 맞는지 모르겠네요. 진하게 칠한부분에서 out-perform은 ~보다 우위에 있다는 뜻일텐데요, 해석하면 colleges가 universities보다 우위에 있다는 뜻이 되겠네요.(in이하는 그 우위의 이유를 말해주고 있어요)
