답이 (c)인데요  (a)는 답이 될수 없나요?

 

 

교재 정답해설에 보면 belonged 와 confirmed의 전후관계를 따질 이유가 전혀 없다고 되어있는데 had not belonged(대과거) 이었었다는 것을 confirmed (과거) 하였다....는 식으로 보면 안되는건가요?

DNA test를 통해  증명하고자 하는 사실은 confirm보다 이전시제아닌가요?
