제가 문제를 풀다가 문제 두개가 햇갈려서 이렇게 게시판에 올리게 되었습니다. 고수님들 알려주세요.

 

 

- A : Why do you want to to take the train to Daejeon? We should just drive there.

 

  B : I agree that _____________ to Daejeon would be convenient but I really think the train would be faster and cheaper.

 

 

여기서 정답이 driving 인데 왜 to drive 는 안될까요? to 부정사는 미래지향적이고 일시적인거고 동명사는 과거 지향적이고 지속적인 거라던데 여기서 to drive 가 쓰여서 대전까지 가는게 일시적인거 아닌가요???

여기서도 정답이 주여역할 하는 동명사 reporting 이라고  나왔고 자세한 설명은 없어서요. 여기서 주어역할 하면 to report 는 왜 안되는지 문법 고수님 알려주실래요???
