Far from being a mere piece of cloth, a nation's flag plays a significant rloe in national pride.

Although many of the desighns may appear simplistic, almost all flags either represent the geographical features of the  country or include elements that stand ofr the country's land, history, and ideals.

Take Iceland's red, white and blue flah; the colors stand for the country's volcanoes, ice, and mountains, respectively.

Or India's flag, whose blue wheel symbolizes peace and progress.
