Growing up in Germany after World War Ⅱ, Wim Wenders was fascinated by the arrival of America via music and film. He became a fiercely independent filmmaker and New German Cinema vanguardist, but 　　　　　　　　　　　．　Although best known for his feature film such as Paris Texas, Wenders is also an accomplished documentarian. His masterpiece documentary film, The Buena Vista Social Club is a story of great Caribbean musicians that is both sad and uplifting.
