They found something they didn't intended to.
They found something they didn't intended to do.
He became what he wanted to be.
You can help him, if you want to do so.
You can help him, if you want to do.
You can help him, if you want to.

to부정사에서 동사가 “be” 또는 “have”인 경우에는 생략 불가능.
“There are more shops in town than there used to be.”
to부정사가 명사나 형용사 뒤에 오거나 “try”, “offer”, “refuse”, “promise” 등의 동사 뒤에 오는 경우 대부정사 “to”만 남기거나 to부정사구 전체 생략 가능.
“The teacher asked me to give my presentation, but I wasn’t ready (to).”
“love”, “hate”, prefer”, “want”, “choose”, “would like” 등의 동사 뒤에 오는 대부정사 “to”는 생략 불가능.
“She asked me to give her a ride home, but I didn’t want to.”
동사 “want”가 접속사 “when”, “if”, “what”, “as”와 함께 쓰인 경우 “want” 뒤 to부정사(구) 전체 생략 가능.
“Stay as long as you want (to stay).”
