Considered a type of proboscis, this tongue was thought to be a result of the insect's evolutionary adaptation to feed from flowers. 라는 문장에서 considered 가 쓰여도 되는건가요..? 비인칭 독립분사 구문에 의해 considering 이 되어야 하는게 아닌가요?
의미상의 주어가 일반적인 사람이 아니여서 비인칭 독립분사구문을 못적는 거라고 생각해도 되는건가욥!?!?!

이었을 텐데, 저 분사구문이 this tongue과 위치가 바뀐 거예요. :)
