리딩 2회 1번 문제에서 이런 문장이 나오는데
"During the first few months, try to allocate 10 percent of your total earnings to savings, increasing this proportion as putting away money every month becomes instinctual and requires progressively less effort."
여기서 increasing이 문법적으로 왜 맞는 건가요?? 동사가 와야 하는 자리 아닌가요...? 해설에도 "이 비율을 증가시켜라"로 해석되어 있는데 increasing으로 쓰면 this proportion을 꾸며주는 말이 되는 것 아닌가요? ㅠㅠ

동사는 주절의 동사는 try이고 만약 increasing 자리에 동사가 오려면 접속사가 있어야 합니다.
주어 일치하고, 시제도 같으니까 동사 increase를 ing 현재분사로 바꿔준거에요.
