M: I work for The Times.

W: Why? Is it a nice place?
M: Well, it's where Shakespeare was born.
W: Oh, really?
18) W: I'd like a ticket to Brighton, please.
M: That'll be 25 pounds.
W: Okay. Where does the train leave from?
M: Platform Four.
19) W: Do you like classical music, Michael?
M: Not really.
W: Then what do you like to listen to?
M: I prefer jazz.
20) M: Wow! The semester is almost over.
W: It's hard to believe.
M: What are you going to do over the break?
W: Maybe some traveling.

W: Oh, hi, Ted. What's up?
M: I wanted to know if you were free this weekend.
W: I haven't planned anything yet.
22) M: What would you like to have?
W: A cheese sandwich, please.
M: Would you like something to drink?
W: Strawberry milkshake, please.

W: I'm sorry, the window seats are all taken at the moment.
M: Do you have any booths left?
W: Certainly, right this way please.
24) W: I wish I earned more money.
M: You could change jobs.
W: But I love the field I work in.
M: Ask for a raise then.
25) W: Can you do something about the air conditioner?
M: I called maintenance and they said they're going to take a look at it.
W: It's like a sauna in here.
M: There's nothing we can do about it.
26) W: You look very fresh considering you just drove for ten hours.
M: Tim and I took turns driving.
W: You're not too tired, then?
M: No, I feel quite alright.
27) M: Which class are you going to take?
W: I'm going for Photography 101.
M: But it says you should have your own camera and lenses.
W: I can borrow my uncle's.
28) W: Aren't we going to the reception?
M: I think I'll stay home tonight. I'm too tired.
W: But aren't they expecting us? What if someone calls?
M: Well, just tell them I've caught the flu.
29) W: Jonathan, we need to have a talk about your attendance.
M: I know I've missed a few classes.
W: You've already missed six, and that's way too many.
M: Yes. But I've got a note from my doctor.
30) M: Did you see this job ad in the paper?
W: Yes, but I won't be applying.
M: Why not? You've always wanted to work in a hotel.
W: But it's too long a commute from here.
