정답이 them인데 them이 뭘 받는지 모르겠습니다. 해석을 봐도 잘 이해가 안가서

저는 it이 목적격으로 쓰인 줄 알고 답을 it으로 했는데 정답이 its더라구요.
its면 소유격인데 인칭대명사 its가 받는게 무엇인지 궁금합니다!!
해석상 The 77th graduating class를 받는거 같긴 한데 그러면 사람인데 its를
쓸 수 있는지도 의문이구요. 꼭 답변 부탁드립니다!!!
