3. 과거 시제 VS 과거 진행 시제
과거시제-과거에 발생하였으며, 과거에 끝난 사건
예 : I watched a movie yesterday.
과거진행시제-과거의 특정 시점에 일어나고 있던 일
예 : I was watching a movie at 3 o'clock yesterday.
4.과거진행시제 만들기
was/were (부정문: not) + 일반동사ing
was not, were not은 wasn't/weren't와 같이 축약할 수 있다.

3인칭 단수 주어
he was (not) cooking/visiting/enjoying/looking
she was (not) cooking/visiting/enjoying/looking
