※ 수식어 거품이 될 수 있는것
수식어: 문장에 없어도 되는 부가적인 성분
1) 전치사구(전치사+목적어)
At the conference, we attended some lectures.
* at/ on/ in/ from
* such as/ in addition to
* plus/ following/ like/ unlike
2) To 부정사구
to부정사의 역할 : 명사, 형용사, 부사
형용사
somebody to love something to drink
attempt to ~하기 위한 시도 effort to ~하기 위한 노력
부사
I came here to see you->목적[in order to, so as to]
목적/이유/결과 등을 주로 언급
3) 분사
The bag(주어) left in the lobby belongs(동사) to Ms. Lopez.
분사:동사에서 나와서 형용사 역할(동형사)
* leave-left(과거)-left(과거분사)
-> 주어 다음에 오는 단어가 반드시 동사는 아니다.
-> 동사인지 분사인지 의심이 들 땐 문장 뒤에서 동사 유무를 확인해라
4) 관계절
I have a colleague who works extremely hard.
N(사람) who
N(사물) which + 동사 -> N ing/pp
N(사람/사물) that
cf) anyone who is
those who are
➀ 현재분사가 만들어지는 첫 번째 경우
N who / which / that + 일반동사-> N ing
ex) The people who drink coffee are
->The people drinking coffee are
② 현재분사가 만들어지는 두 번째 경우
N who / which / that + be ~ing(진행시제)-> N ~ing
ex) The people who are dancing in the rain are
->The people dancing in the rain are
③ 과거분사가 만들어지는 경우
N who / which / that + be pp(수동태) -> N + pp
ex) The people who were selected for the job will~
-> The people selected for the job will~
select(현)-selected(과)-selected(과거분사)
-> 동사의 과거형과 혼동하지 말자
5) 부사절
① 명사절:[접 S+V]V V[접 S+V]
② 형용사절:N[접(S)+V]
③ 부사절:접 S+V, S+V[주절](순서 변경 가능)
ex) When the concert ended, all of the audience applauded.

[Despite the economic slowdown], the company will proceed with the expansion.
The people [waiting in line] are becoming impatient.
Peter offered to give me a ride [even though he was very busy].
6 수식어 거품 구와 수식어 거품 절을 이끄는 것은 다르다.
※수식어 거품 파악하기 순서
Candidates [applying for the job] must take an entrance exam.
1) 동사 찾기
2) 주어 찾기
3) 수식어구 거품
