명사절이란? 한국어로서의 의미
- 나는 (지구가 둥글다는 것)을 알고 있다.
1. 명사절의 형태 : “명사절 접속사 + 주어 + 동사 ~”

2. 명사절 접속사
명사절 접속사 | 의미 |
that | ~라는 것 |
whether / if | ~인지 아닌지 |
의문사 | who 누가 ~하는지 when 언제 ~하는지 where 어디서 ~하는지 what 무엇이(을) ~하는지 which 어느 것이(을)~ 하는지 why 왜 ~하는지 how 어떻게 ~하는지 |

3. 명사절 자리
- 주어 자리
When he will come back is uncertain.
- 목적어 자리
Our staff members know that Mr. Ju cares about them.
- 보어 자리
The question is who will do it.
- 전치사 뒤
I am thinking about what he said.
4. 명사절 접속사
- that
That he drew the picture is unbelievable. >> 주어
I knew that he was a lawyer. >> 목적어
- if/whether
1. if
I do not know if she ordered it.(명사절)
I can buy a building, if I should become rich.(부사절)
>> 명사절 if 주어 동사: 주어가 동사하는지 아닌지
>> 부사절 if 주어 동사: 주어가 동사한다면
2. whether
Whether he will agree(명사절) is another question.
Whether you like it or not,(부사절) I will become a teacher.
>>명사절 whether 주어 동사: 주어가 동사하는지 아닌지
>>부사절 whether 주어 동사: 주어가 동사이든 아니든
3. 의문사
who | when | where | what | which | why | how |
- who 동사 : 누가 동사하는지
Who invented the product is unknown.
- when 주어 동사 : 언제 주어가 동사하는지
I wonder when the class starts.
- how 주어 동사 : 어떻게 주어가 동사하는지
He told me how he succeeded.
