이번 시간에는 수일치에 대해서 배웠습니다. 단수주어는 단수동사 복수주어는 복수 동사 이외에도 신경써야 할 부분이
조금 있는 것 같습니다.
1. 단수주어와 단수동사의 수일치
1) 단수 가산명사
ex) The company intends to open a lacal branch.
2) 불가산명사
ex) The furniture arrives fully assembled.
3) ~하는 것으로 해석되는 긴말 덩어리들
ex) Watching a soccer game gets me excited.
That John will leave is shocking.
4) each / every + 단수 명사
ex) Each house has 2 bedrooms.
Every employee pays income taxes.
2. 복수주어와 복수동사의 수일치
1) 복수 가산명사
ex) The students expect that the weather will be fine.
2) 주어 and 주어
ex) Jack and I are taking an accounting class.
3) severy / many / a few + 복수명사
ex) Several books are on the desk.
Many workers commute to work by bus.
3. 주의해야 할 주어와 동사의 수일치
1) 주어와 동사 사이에 수식어가 오는 경우
ex) Getting letters from my friends makes me happy.
The paintings at the museum attract many tourists.
2) Most / all / some / half / the rest + of the + 명사는 of the 뒤의 명사에 수일치 시키기!!!
ex) Most of the water was dried up in the lake.
Some of the firms disagree with the policy.
저 같은 경우에는 3번이 조금 헷갈렸었는데요. 보통 most 를 보면 복수만 생각이 나서 애를 먹었었는데, 예문을
같이 외워두면 앞으로 헷갈릴 일이 없을 것 같습니다!!! 감사합니다!!!
