비교급 비교급 + than larger than
최상급 the + 최상급 the largest
(단, 부사의 최상급 앞에는 the를 쓰지 않는다.)
비교급과 최상급 만드는 법
비교급의 불규칙 변화
비교급
① 형태 : 비교급 + than
② 비교급이 포함된 표현
* the + 비교급~, the + 비교급~ : ~하면 할수록 더 ~하다.
ex) The harder I study, the happier I am.
* the + 비교급 + of the two : 둘 중 더 ~한
ex) A is the more expensive of the two products.
③ 비교급 강조 : much, far, even, still
최상급
① 형태 : the + 최상급 + of~, in~, that절
-> 비교 대상 ‘셋 이상’
② 최상급이 포함된 표현
* one of the 최상급 + 복수명사 : 가장 ~한 사람/것 중 하나
ex) She is one of the richest people in this town.
* the + 서수 + 최상급 : 몇 번째로 가장 ~한
ex) Canada is the second largest country in the world.
간편 정리
than -> 비교급 -er/more
the -> 최상급 -est/most

consistently 항상, 끊임없이
ex) Verco consistently provides excellent service.
[참고] constantly 끊임없이; 거듭
conveniently 편리하게
ex) The hotel is conveniently located near the train station. -> ‘편리하게 위치한’
<소감>
비교급 구문은 많이 어려운 것이 아니니 형태를 잘 파악하여 원급, 비교급, 최상급을 구분해야겠다.
또한 비교급이 포함된 표현은 문제를 통해 좀 더 눈에 익혀야 할 것 같다. 이제 마지막 강의만 남았으니 좀 더 홧팅!!!
