1. 전치사가 오는 자리
전치사는 명사나 대명사 앞에 온다! 뒤에 반드시!
ex) I bought the coffee maker in January.
ex) We recommended the best art school to him.
2. 시간 전치사
1) at, in, on
① in : 연도, 계절, 월, 오전/오후/저녁 앞
ex) in 2010, in the morning , in March
② on : 날짜, 특정날짜, 요일 → 달력에 표시할 수 있을 때
ex) on September 18. On Wednesday, On New Year`s Day
③ at : 구체적인 시각, 시점 앞
ex) at 10 o`clock , at the end of the year, at noon/night,midnight
2) for, during
① for + 숫자 개념 (숫자로 바꿀수 있을 때)
ex) She worked in marketing for three years.
② during + 특정 기간
ex) I traveled abroad during my vacation.
3) until, by
① until : ~까지 상황이 계속 지속
ex) The bank is open until 5 P.m
② by : ~까지 한번만 하면 종료
ex) You have to come back by 10 P.m
3. 장소 전치사
1) at , on, in
① in : (큰) 공간 안
ex) in the park
② on : 표면에 붙어서
ex) on the desk.
③ at : 특정 지점 (장소 설명)
ex) at the bus stop.
* at the airport → on이 아님을 유의
2) between, among
① between : 둘 사이
ex) There is house between the two trees.
③ among : 세개 이상 사이
ex) There is house among several trees.
4. 방향 전치사
1) to, toward
① to : 목표물 대상이 확신할 때
ex) John wrote a letter to his wife.
② to : 그 대상 방향으로
ex) We walked toward downtown.
2) across, through, along
① across : ~를 가로질러
ex) I swam across the lake. 나는 수영했다. 호수를 가로질러
② along : ~을 따라
ex) Mike walked along the beach. Mike는 걸었다. 해변을 따라
③ through : ~을 통과하여 (3차원 공간)
ex) The car went through a tunnel. 그 차는 갔다. 터널을 가로질러
3) into, out of
① into : ~안으로 쑥
ex) Kathy ran into her house
② out of : ~밖으로 쑥
ex) He jumped out of his bed.
오늘도 전치사에 대해서 자세히 알려주어서 전치사에 대해서 다시한번 정리하고 구분이 잘갈거 같네요.
