원급 구문 as 원급 as as large as

(단, 부사의 최상급 앞에는 the를 쓰지

규칙변화
비교급 1음절 (e)r을 붙인다. fast → faster
2음절 이상 앞에 more를 붙인다 diligent → more diligent
최상급 1음절 (e)st를 붙인다 fast → fastest
2음절 이상 앞에 most를 붙인다 diligent → most diligent

<비교급 + than>
☆비교급 구문에서는 형용사/부사의 비교급 + than을 쓴다
☆than이 나오면 앞에 형용사/부사의 비교급이 나와야 한다
Plastics/are (light, lighter)/than metals.
→light(x) than이 나왔기 때문에 원급이 아닌 비교급 lighter가 와야 한다
She/speaks/(clearly, more clearly)/than others.
→clearly(x) than이 나왔기 때문에 원급이 아닌 비교급 more clearly가 와야 한다
<비교급이 포함된 표현>
the + 비교급 ~, the + 비교급~ ~하면 할수록 더~하다
the + 비교급 + of the two 둘 중 더 ~한
The more/you learn,/(the wise, the wiser)/you can become.
→the wise(x) the 비교급 the 비교급 구문으로 the 비교급인 the wiser가 와야 한다
Patrick/is/(the tall, the taller) of the two.
→the tall(x) 뒤에 of the two가 나은 the 비교급 + of the two구문으로 the 비교급인 the taller가 와야 한다
<비교급 강조>
☆훨씬이라는 의미로 비교급을 강조하는 부사에는 much, even, still, far가 있다
Our delivery services/are/much quicker/than those of other companies.

<the + 최상급 + of ~/in~/that절>
☆최상급 구문에서는 the + 최상급 + of~/in~/thant절을 쓴다
He/is/the (more intelligent, most intelligent) student/of all my classmates.
→more intelligent(x) 앞에 the가 왔으므로 최상급인 most intelligent가 와야 한다
It/is/the(taller, tallest) building/in the city.
→taller(x) 앞에 the가 왔으므로 최상급인 tallest가 와야 한다
This/is/the (more heavily, most heavily) researched article /that I have ever read.
→more heavily(x) 앞에 the가 왔으므로 최상급인 most heavily가 와야 한다
<최상급이 포함된 표현>
one of the 최상급 + 복수 명사 가장~한 사람/것 중 하나
the + 서수 + 최상급 몇 번째로 가장 ~한
She/is/one of the (richer, richest) peple/in the town.
→richer(x) one of the 다음 최상급이 와야 하기 때문에 최상급인 richest가 와야 한다
Busan/is/the second (larger, largest) city/in Korea.
→lager(x) the second(서수) + 최상급 구문이기 때문에 최상급인 largest가 와야 한다
<부사 어휘>

그 호텔은 기차역 근처에 편리하게 위치하고 있다.
오늘은 [특수구문] 비교구문에 대해서 학습하였습니다~! 일단 비교 구문은 원급 구문, 비교급 구문, 최상급 구문이 있으며 비교급은 1음절에는 뒤에 (e)r을 붙이고 2음절 이상은 앞에 more를 붙입니다. 최상급은 1음절 뒤에는 (e)st를 붙이며 2음절 이상에는 앞에 most를 붙입니다. 비교급 구문에서는 형용사/부사의 비교급+than을 쓰며 문장에서 than이 나오면 앞에 형용사/부사는 비교급이 와야 합니다. 또 비교급이 포함된 표현으로는 the + 비교급~, the + 비교급~ ~하면 할수록 더 ~하다, the + 비교급 + of the two 둘 중 더~한이 있습니다. 비교급을 강조해 주는 훨씬이라는 의미로 much, even, still, far가 있습니다. 최상급은 the + 최상급 +of~/in~/that절을 씁니다. 최상급이 포함된 표현으로는 one of the 최상급 + 복수 명사 가장~한 사람/것 중 하나, the + 서수 + 최상급 몇 번째로 가장 ~한이 있습니다.
