01 기본 개념
#전치사 - preposition
: 명사 앞에서 명사와 다른 단어를 이어주는 역할을 한다.
시간, 장소, 방향 등을 나타낸다.
#의미에 따라 나눈 전치사
시간- at, for
장소- in, between
방향- to, across
#형태에 따라 나눈 전치사
한 단어인 전치사- on(~위에), under(~아래에), for(~동안), since(~이래로)
두 단어 이상인 전치사- due to(~때문에), instead of(~대신에), in front of(~앞에), in addition to(~외에도, 추가로)
#전치사구(=전명구)
: 전치사 + 명사/대명사

02 전치사 자리
#명사, 대명사 앞
+ 명사는 관사, 소유격, 전치사 뒤에 무조건 온다.
#전치사 뒤에 형용사, 동사는 올 수 없음
03 시간 전치사
#in > on > at : ~(때)에
-in: 연도, 월, 계절, 오전/오후/저녁 앞
(in 2010, in March, in summer, in the morning, in the afternoon, in the afternoon)
-on: 날짜, 요일, 특정한 날 앞 -> 달력에 표시가 가능한 날
(on September 18, on Wednesday, on Tuesday morning, on New Year's Day)
-at: 구체적 시각, 시점 앞 -> 그 시각, 시점 주변이라고 생각
(at 10 o'clock, at the beginning of the month, at the end of the year, at noon/night/midnight)
#for, during : ~동안
-for: for + 기간 나타내는 숫자(며칠, 몇 년 등)
-during: during + 특정 기간
#until, by : ~까지
-until: ~까지 그 상황이 계속 지속되다가 그 시점에 종료
-by: ~까지 한 번만 하면 끝 (마감이나 기한)
04 장소 전치사
#in > on > at : ~(곳)에
-in: 3차원 공간 안에 있는 것을 나타날 때, 경계선이 뚜렷한 공간, 큰 개념의 공간 (ex. city)
-on: 표면 위에, 층수, 도로명(ex.인사동길)
-at: 특정 지점, 대부분 at 사용
*공항은 at the airport 라고 관용적으로 사용
#between, among : ~ 사이에
-between: 둘 사이
-among: 셋 이상의 사이
05 방향 전치사
#to, toward
-to: ~에게,~로, 대상에게 직선으로 꽂히는 느낌
-toward: ~쪽으로, ~을 향하여, 그 대상의 방향으로 가는 느낌
#across, through, along
-across: ~을 가로질러
*acorss from: 건너편에, 맞은편에
-through: ~을 통과하여
-along: ~을 따라
#into, out of
-into: ~안으로
-out of: ~밖으로
