해커스 텝스 문법교재 푸는데 관사가 너무 어렵네요 ㅜㅜ

B: I hope the portions their are large, because i"m starving,

및줄친 절에서 정관사를 쓴 이유를 잘 모르겠습니다.

그리고 hope가 3형식 동사인건 아는데 문장구조 해석이 잘 안되네요...

문장구조도 알려주시면 감사하겠습니다..
